Rotating Viking Ship
Roller coasters with rotating cars have become increasingly popular over the past few years, and the added size of unpredictable rotation has added a lot of fun and excitement to medium-sized roller coasters around the world.
Located on the mountainside location near Liège, Vicky takes Plopsa COO Provides such experience.
This is the rotating roller coaster of Gerstlauer, a manufacturer that shakys the trend of rotating roller coaster design by making pairs of riders face each other rather than looking outward. While you might think this will hinder perspectives and overall experience, there is little to pay attention to – it actually adds an interesting social dimension.
The rotation itself is very strong, especially when the pair of seats opposite are empty, which can place the car in a wild spiral as it accelerates on the track.
Vicky is a young Viking cartoon character from Belgian Studio 100, which gives the Viking theme. The ride car is based on the long-term theme of the mini Vikings (maybe it should be a odd job?)
Overall, Vicky is a very fun roller coaster and is perfect for Plopsa COO. It doesn’t have great capacity, but the size of the park means the inevitable re-ride still has the chance to find a combination of seats that maximizes the rotation!
