Top 5 Fast Food Restaurants at Disney California Adventure

Top 5 Fast Food Restaurants at Disney California Adventure
The Reader’s Unofficial Guide to Disneyland. Keep in mind that this list includes only fast-food restaurants. Full-service locations, outdoor vending carts, or food stands (some of which may rank higher in our survey) do not appear on this list.

#5 Lucky Cooking – Place Saint-François

Rating: 93.0%

Summary: Japanese fast food staples like rice, udon, fried chicken and bubble tea. The ramen was good but a bit pricey. The beef yakiniku roll was great.

Specialties: Karaage chicken, udon noodles, ramen, and teriyaki chicken rice.

Comments: In my opinion, Luckey Fortune Cookery is one of the best fast food restaurants in both parks. The dishes here are all delicious, the portions are generous, and there are some unique flavors that you won’t find elsewhere in Disney California Adventure. Be sure to try the Japanese fried chicken fried udon and Thai milk tea to take away.

#4 Corn Dog Castle – Paradise Garden Park

Rating: 93%

Summary: The Corn Dog Castle is a throwback to the crazy California architecture of the 1920s and 30s, and the name speaks for itself. It satisfies those who want a corn dog but are too far from the little red car on Main Street in Disneyland. If you love these hot dogs, or if you’ve always thought they would be nice if they weren’t as meaty and were stuffed with cheese, this is the place for you.

Specialty: Disneyland’s famous hand-dipped corn dogs.

Comments: It’s no surprise that Disneyland’s famous corn dogs are highly rated by visitors. They’re huge, incredibly delicious (especially the hot dogs), and affordable compared to other fast food options. You can get a hot dog and a serving of fries for around $11.

#3 Smokejumpers Grill – Grizzly Peak

Rating: 94%

Summary: Inspired by the “brave men and women fighting wildfires in California’s forests.” The beautiful venue features ample seating and is surrounded by lush pine trees.

What’s in store: Theme park staples like burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenderloins, onion rings and milkshakes.

Comments: A crowd favorite. Smokejumpers doesn’t have any amazing dishes, but you can go there for a good burger and fries. The seasonal milkshakes are usually pretty good, like the lemon shake pictured above. The breakfast menu at Smokejumpers Grill is also good, but limited.

#2 Paradise Garden BBQ – Paradise Garden Park

Rating: 96%

Summary: With lots of shaded covered seating, live bands, and about a billion little lights decorating the surroundings, this is one of DCA’s most delightful places to take a break and grab a quick bite. This open-air restaurant shares seating with Boardwalk Pizza in a Victorian beer garden theme. The backstory of this restaurant is about an immigrant family who built a restaurant empire from a humble roadside barbecue joint.

Signature dishes: The menu changes seasonally, and during Spanish festivals like !Viva Navidad!, the menu might switch to some delicious Latin entrees.

Review: Paradise Garden Grill has everything from BBQ ribs to Mexican dishes to Asian entrees. You never know what menu you’ll find during your visit to Paradise Garden Grill. The current menu consists of several items including chicken tenders, burritos, and french fries.

#1 Ghirardelli Soda Shop and Chocolate Shop – Place du Sochaux, St. Franck

Rating: 98%

Summary: San Francisco’s outpost of the famous chocolate company. Come here to enjoy delicious ice cream.

Specialties: Ice cream sundaes, milkshakes and fresh-baked brownies.

Comments: The chocolate and ice cream are good, but the prices are very expensive compared to other ice cream shops in the Disneyland Resort. For example, a milkshake is $12 to $14, while a hot fudge sundae is $17. Try Salt & Straw in Downtown Disney instead. Trust us, it’s worth it.
