As a general The epic universe is approaching opening day In the United States, Universal Parks & Resorts has set its sights on the next full-size park in Bedford, England. Earlier today, it was announced that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer ended the deal to bring the first universal property ever to Europe into the scheme to begin construction in 2026 and open in 2031.

The park will be located in Bedford, which is about 80 minutes north of London. Concept Art shows multiple theme lands, at least three roller coasters.

According to the release of the British government:

Billions of pounds have been reached between the government and local councils, a major vote of confidence in the UK economy and the future of a partnership between the UK and the United States. The theme park will become Europe’s largest and most advanced theme park, bringing nearly 20,000 jobs during construction, and there will be 8,000 new jobs in the entire hotel and creative industry when it opens in 2031.

By enabling people to engage in good salary, decent work in creativity, technology, tourism and hospitality to support government change programs to create economic growth and opportunities, Universal has been committed to working with local colleges and universities to train the next generation of hospitality workforce, including through a range of apprentices and internships.

In addition to creating huge opportunities, new theme parks and resorts will also bring enormous local benefits – approximately 80% of the theme park’s staff is expected to be local and support a range of ongoing work to unlock the potential of the Oxford-Cambridge corridor through growth, infrastructure revitalization and further job opportunities.

Universal Pictures expects the site to generate nearly £50 billion in price for the economy by 2055, with 8.5 million of visitors in its first year, becoming the UK’s largest visitor attraction. This will support the government in achieving its growth mission – establishing a higher standard of living and investing more money in people’s pockets.

Today, we completed the deal with a multi-billion-pound investment that will make Bedford home to one of Europe’s largest entertainment venues and firmly put the county on the global stage. ”This is our action change program that brings local and national growth to around 28,000 new jobs in areas such as construction, AI and tourism. It’s not just numbers; it’s about providing real opportunities for people in our country. Together, we have built a better future for the UK, getting people started working, and ensuring our economy remains strong and competitive. ”

The development in partnership with Bedford Borough Council will become part of the 476-acre entertainment resort building.

The proposed plan for Universal Destinations and Experiences in Comcast’s business unit includes a world-class theme park that includes several of Universal’s themed lands, including Universal’s immersive storytelling, exciting rides, innovative attractions and exciting entertainment, all leveraging sophisticated and advanced technology. The original resort plan also features a 500-room hotel and retail, dining and entertainment complex.

As part of the change plan, the government will be committed to making significant investments in the infrastructure around the website to support the delivery of projects and ensure they are well connected and accessible. Days after the government signed up for the expansion of Luton Airport, it demonstrates how the government’s agenda for growth brings real-life benefits to workers.

The deal supports the UK’s world-leading creative industry, a growth driver identified in the government’s modern industrial strategy, which will be published this spring. The strategy will drive investments in high-growth sectors, freeing up efforts and growth nationwide.

Universal destinations and experiences have a good track record of building and operating major theme parks and resorts around the world. Universal development in the UK will join the company’s existing destination portfolio in the United States and Asia Pacific.

These proposals remain subject to planned decisions by the Ministry of Housing, Community and Local Government. Awaiting approval, the construction of the park is planned to begin in 2026.
