Fixed line, head to 17K (Peter Dell)
The weather is not a friend Team 1 (Swanson) and 2 (bond) This trip. After waiting for eight days in the weather window to rest for 17 camps and then reaching the top, they all had to decide to descend. While this is not what we hope to do when we are looking to explore, weather has been a rare situation so far, and the safety of climbers has always been a core consideration in everything we do.
Team 3 (Dell) and 4 (Phillips) still have the opportunity to attend the summit and plan to bring to the 13th Battalion tomorrow. This should put them on track to take advantage of any rest in weather that may hit up the hill next week. Team 5 (Madison) arrives in Anchorage tomorrow.
