A couple celebrated their 26th anniversary on Carnival Magic when their luggage was lost and they could only find a few items.
The Carnival cruise route informed Jason and Tammy Merritt that Jason’s luggage had been in the cabin of another passenger, allowing his female crew to fully enter his belongings.

The Oklahoma husband and wife joined the Carnival Magic’s February 8-16 Caribbean voyage, but Jason’s property never reached the cabin.
Although Merritts carefully labeled their luggage, took photos, and tracked it with Apple Airpods, Carnival spent more than 20 days delivering the bags to its due owners – after the eight-day trip.
Their daughter Abbey Merritt added that Jason’s iPad, car keys, prescription glasses, medications, CPAP machines and other valuables are Lost suitcase.
The Carnival response was to provide $50 for couples and $250 for each cruise day, but the family believes this is insufficient compensation for the inconvenience they have suffered.
Couple tracks down missing bags, but Carnival dismisses their claims

After returning home, they monitored the location of the bags online with Airpods, indicating that the missing luggage was still on board. Tammy repeatedly contacted the Carnival and updated her location. “We kept showing them,” she recalls. “Hey, we’re following it. Hey, here.”
However, the crew dismissed their claim. “They told us, ‘We’ve searched all the floors. Every room has been checked. Nothing is available,’ she told KFOR-TV in the interview.
When the suitcase was finally found (as the Merritt claimed, it was missing 39 items, including most of Jason’s clothes, toiletries, medicines, keys and glasses for his SUV. “It costs a lot of money to change clothes, and some of them can’t be replaced.” Facebook.
Allegedly the cruise route lets the thief go away

Carnival said a passenger who lived in several cabins stole the bag. Despite this revelation, the cruise line further thwarted the Merritts by disembarking the alleged thief without consequence. “They let her take her off the boat without checking any of her belongings. They just let her go,” Tammy said in disbelief.
Due to this incident and away from a satisfactory parade, Merrites plans to consult with the authorities and take legal action.
