The Alaska cruise industry is preparing for new products for 2026 as six ships that have never been to Alaska are marked on the schedule. Some of these ships are brand new, and some have been sailing for more than a decade.
Even at the start of the 2025 season, 2026 has shown a significant increase in sails, with 85 cruises planned.

MSC Poesia （MSC Cruises）
2,550 passengers launched in 2007 MSC Poesia It will be relocated to Miami from Barcelona in April 2026. After the voyage, the ship will provide the Panama Canal from Miami to Seattle.
The 92,627-ton total vessel will be available for Alaska sailing from Seattle for the first time in its history.

Luminara (Ritz-Carlton Yacht Series)
For cruisers who want a more luxurious experience, Ritz-Carlton’s three luxury cruise lines are covered. Brand new superyacht LuminaraThe 456-Guest ship was launched in 2025 and will conduct 13 Alaska voyages between May and September.
Luminara In May 2026, it will be in Asia before it sails toward Alaska Whittier. The ship will transition between Whittier and Vancouver and provide Alaska with a 7-11 night voyage, which will visit at least 11 ports.
Smart lady (Virgin Sailing)
Virgin Voyages has not previously offered navigation to Alaska, so it is the first of the entire cruise line.
Smart lady It will be the fourth cruise ship, with only adult virgin sailing and is scheduled to begin service in September this year. The 2,700-passenger vessel will be relocated from Los Angeles to Vancouver in May 2026 before being held at Seattle home sports this season.

Another brand new ship on the list is Star Princessscheduled to be delivered in September 2025. The 4,300-passenger boat will provide passengers with a modern and comfortable way to explore the beautiful landscape of Alaska.

The new ship will be launched in late 2025 and debut in early 2026, and will debut in Alaska with a focus on smaller ports and unique itineraries.
Seeking stars Out of 112 suites, it can accommodate up to 224 passengers. This will be the seventh ship with Windstar and will offer a 7-night and 14-night cruise in San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by a 49-night voyage on the Panama Canal on its way to Juneau Alaska, Alaska . The seven calling ports around Alaska will constitute the end of the 7-week voyage.
Disney Magic (Disney Cruise)
Disney Cruise will have two cruise ships in Alaska in 2026. Disney Magic Will make its debut in Alaska when joining the region’s Disney Wonders.
These two magic-class Disney cruises will be available for a 7-night voyage from May to September 2026.
The six new ships’ debut to Alaska offers more options for cruisers to experience the incredible atmosphere of the Alaska cruise. 2026 will be a busy sailing season for the region, and the 2025 season is approaching, but now is not the time to start planning a 2026 vacation.
