Although cruisers can also find daily events, venue times, dress codes and show times on the website. royal appI find it’s often more convenient to use a printed daily planner to see everything in one place.
However, flight attendants no longer automatically send printouts to your cabin every day unless you’re staying in a Junior Suite or above. To get a printed cruise compass, you will need to ask a cabin crew member to deliver it or line up at Guest Services each day to pick up a copy.
You can also scan the “Gone Green” QR code on your stateroom card each day to download a digital copy of your cruise compass. (You don’t need paid Wi-Fi to do this.) The digital version is formatted the same as the paper planner, and you can zoom in and out of the image.
Day 1 – Embarkation Day: Miami, Florida
Our embarkation day is July 4th (Independence Day), so we have a special dress code suggestion: red, white and blue. Typically, this cruise ship has a casual dress code for embarkation days.

Day 2 – A perfect day in CocoCay
Our only port stop on this short Caribbean cruise was a perfect day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas.

Day 3 – Ocean Day
Our first event at sea was also ‘Dress to impress’, a formal night with a higher dress code in the main dining room. Royal Caribbean recommends suits, sport coats, cocktail dresses, gowns, or “going out attire.”

Day 4 – Ocean Day
Our second (and final) sea day on this short cruise was Caribbean themed nightguests are encouraged but not required to wear Caribbean-style casual attire. Cruise Compass recommends “tropical prints, pastel colors, linen shirts, Bermuda shorts and sundresses.”
