Pullman Melbourne City Centre has partnered with hotel owners Erdi and Erdi Foundation to raise $57,196 for the Melbourne Homeless Charity 300 cover, as part of a 12-month fundraising campaign.
A series of employee-led events held by the hotel raised funds to support the flagship program of 300 blankets, including outreach and soul kitchens, which provide food, connections and necessary care for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
“Our work with 300 blankets makes sense for our team,” said James Muscat, general manager of Pullman Melbourne City Centre.
“As a hotel, we are in the business of caring for people, this partnership provides our team with a tangible way to extend this care beyond our hotel.
“Working with 300 blankets and seeing the real difference our collective efforts make in people’s lives is very rewarding.”
Funding will also support the development of new community programs to ensure long-term, scalable support for those in need.
Peter Royce, 300 Blanket President, said: “The extraordinary efforts of the Pullman Melbourne downtown team and the generosity of the Erdi Foundation over the past 12 months are not required.”
“This partnership has gone beyond fundraising – it’s about real connection and shared goals. The compassion and commitment shown by the Pullman team not only adds to our resources, but also improves the spirit of our volunteers and the people we serve.”
