Norwegian Cruise Line to sail from Philadelphia in 2026: Travel Weekly

Norwegian Cruise Line will base a cruise ship in Philadelphia in 2026.

Norwegian Jewel will operate Philadelphia cruises April 16 to Oct. 17. In the spring and summer, it will sail to Bermuda on seven- to nine-day cruises, switching to 10- to 11-day open-air cruises to Canada and New England in the fall. (The Jewel will rotate homeports between Philadelphia and Quebec City in the fall.)

The Jewel will depart from the SouthPort Marine Terminal complex. The Port of Philadelphia Authority said capital improvements are being made “to ensure seamless transfer of passengers from ship to shore and shore to ship.”

Norwegian Jewel’s Bermuda voyage will include an overnight stop at the Royal Naval Dockyard in the United Kingdom.

Philadelphia Cruise port closed In 2011, only two cruise ships from U.S. cruise lines sailed from Philadelphia. Philadelphia cruises peaked in 2005 and 2006, when 32 and 36 ships sailed from Philadelphia, respectively. At the time, the Norwegian Majestic was homeported in Philadelphia.
