Nesaza announced the results of its successful cooperation with Tui Markets & Airlines, a subsidiary of the world-renowned Tui Group.
Through the transaction, the operator leverages the company’s TripBuilder solution to redefine its travel offerings, operational efficiencies and customer experience.
Since 2021, the pair have been working together on a transformation that has reduced time to market from one day, when rides were bookable before partnering with Nezasa, to one hour.
After two full years of working with Nezasa TripBuilder, Tui Belgium saw significant improvements in its most relevant KPIs in the second year, with a 76% increase in itineraries created, a 65% increase in bookings and a 4% increase in average basket size.
Kim Meskens, Director of Tourism at Tui, said: “Multi-day tours are the most complex vertical in the travel industry, so to realize our vision we needed an end-to-end platform that enabled procurement while also providing the production engine and Fulfillment and distribution are both digitally built and connected.
“When we contacted Nezasa we were having difficulties with time to market and if you look at Tui Belgium we have a large team managing customer and supplier interactions and we were getting a lot of quote requests but customers were coming in Our website travel agencies want to get quotes in real time.
“We found that the conversion rate was really low and we weren’t making any money because the quotes took so long.”
Tui faced legacy systems that were unable to handle the complex travel structure, changes in the supplier landscape (meaning that in order to maintain its partnership with DMC, it had to find a way to advance direct integration between platform and supply, a need for personalization) (increased demand for technology and services). Flexibility and higher levels of digitalization in other travel sectors, and the impact on time-to-market due to operational inefficiencies.
Belgium was selected as a pilot market to leverage its existing offline team and strong market demand to test and refine the platform before wider rollout
With TripBuilder, Tui is now delivering truly connected travel, meaning it uses one integrated system to source all travel components in real-time, eliminating the previous need for manual coordination across multiple supply sources.
Meskens said: “The ‘Connected Travel’ concept fully embodies our strategic vision to integrate multiple procurement and fulfillment processes into a seamless virtual package, allowing us to effectively leverage our capabilities in both B2B and B2C sectors. Online business model.”
The success in Belgium sets the blueprint for expansion into other key markets such as the Netherlands, where it has already launched, and further launches in France, Germany and the UK over the next six months.
Meiskens added: “To fully exploit this market opportunity, we implemented a three-step approach: consolidate markets, adjust sales and open up new markets through local partners, thus achieving significant growth in the B2B sector.”
The move solidifies Tui Tours’ leadership position in the highly competitive travel sector.
