What is the Go New York Explorer Pass?
this New York Explorer Pass One of New York City’s discounted passes, the Go New York Explorer Pass gives you free entry to over 100 different attractions in New York City. With the Go New York Explorer Pass, you can choose from these attractions and visit 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 10 of them. You don’t have to decide ahead of time which attractions you want to visit; you can decide when you arrive in New York. You have the flexibility to choose what you want to watch.
The great thing about these attraction passes, which is exactly why I like them so much, is the time flexibility they offer. You can spread out your visits to the attractions you want over a few days without having to sacrifice your savings.
How does the Go New York Explorer Pass work?
- After booking, you will receive your personal Explorer Pass number which you can then use to log into their free app.
- When you’re in New York, just show your New York Explorer Pass at each attraction…
- …then you can scan your ID at the ticket counter and collect your admission ticket. It’s that simple!

Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour
One of the most popular tours is the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour, which is also free with the Go New York Explorer Pass. The current provider is BIG BUS. You can easily recognize the bus by its deep red color. It includes 1-Day Ticket,Right now Applicable to both the Uptown and Downtown loopsAlthough there are two loops, it is only counted as one attraction, not two.
I found the downtown loop to be the best as it goes by many of the main attractions!

My advice: If you are visiting New York with children and your child is six years old or younger, I would recommend not buying a sightseeing pass for them because admission to many attractions is free for children of that age.
Is the Go New York Explorer Pass worth buying?

My New York Explorer Pass Experience
Why do I always choose the attraction-based Go New York Explorer Pass? I love saving money on attraction tickets while taking the hassle out of sightseeing!
With the New York Pass or New York Sightseeing Passwith the Go New York Explorer Pass you can plan non-sightseeing days in between sightseeing days without losing the money saving benefits of purchasing the pass.
My experience with the Explorer Pass has been very good; it’s well-known at each attraction, the selection of attractions is very large, and the app works without any problems. While I always used the large pass with 7 or 10 selections on my first few trips to NYC, I now stick to the small pass with 3 to 5 selections.
