National Geographic – Lindblad charters a boat to cruise India in 2026: Travel Weekly

National Geographic – Lindblad Expeditions will add Charaidew II to its charter fleet in 2026. The ship will sail in India in March 2026 – guests can check out The entire 18-day trip or a 11 days.

The cruise departed from New Delhi on March 19. The itinerary includes exploration of off-the-beaten-path Assam regions and legendary sites in the north such as the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort of Agra (both UNESCO World Heritage Sites), as well as wildlife sanctuaries. Guests will travel by jeep through Bandhavgarh and Kaziranga National Parks. They will also visit Kolkata and its colorful markets.

Guests can choose their 11-day itinerary and accommodation in Kolkata. This section does not include the Taj Mahal and Bandhavgarh National Park.

National Geographic-Linblad says the Charaidew II’s ultra-shallow draft and low profile allow it to cruise further upstream than any other vessel on the Brahmaputra.

Accommodation facilities on board include 17 air-conditioned cabins, including two deluxe cabins and 11 standard cabins on the upper deck, and four standard cabins on the main deck. Shared spaces include a sundeck, mini library, salon and gym.
