Margaritaville Island Reserve Roatan construction begins: Travel weekly

Construction began on the Margaritaville Island reserve resort in Honduras. Karisma Hotels & Resorts will manage the all-inclusive resort, which is expected to open in fall 2027.

The 170-room resort in Honduras will cover nearly 9 acres along the coastline. These include the beachfront suite and the honeymoon swimming suite.

The iconic Margaritaville Dining will include Frank & Lola’s Italian Trattoria, JWB Steakhouse, Boathouse Market Market Dining and Paradise’s Cheeseburger. The resort will also feature Landshark Brewery, which provides guests with a craft beer experience.

Additional resort amenities will include Sanskrit Spa, Fins Up! Fitness center, Parakeet Kids Club, multiple swimming pools and pickle court. Karisma said the Sky wedding venue will “provide a picturesque setting for couples to have their Dream Island wedding.”

Margaritaville Beach Club will be a hub for large events and music festivals. It will provide capacity for 800 guests, a covered stage for concerts, VIP Cabanas, commercial retail area, splash pads, main pool and snack gazebo.
