Manaslu climbers on the way!

3 September 2024 – Ang Jangbu and Phunuru report from Kathmandu that our 2024 Fall Himalayan climbing season is about to begin! First up are the Manaslu climbers, who are now on their way to the world’s eighth highest peak (8,163 meters). After a day of packing and preparing their gear in Kathmandu, the team headed to the airport today to take a helicopter flight to Soti Khola and then on to Samagaon. The team will spend a few days in Samagaon doing some acclimatization hikes before heading to Base Camp. Meanwhile, the Sherpa team set out from Dharapani a few days ago, carrying extra equipment and food. They trekked over the Larkya La pass to reach Samagaon from the west. All is well in Nepal!
