Bonita Springs, FloridaHyatt Regent Coconut Point Resort and Spa announced that it will begin multi-million-dollar renovation and event space in mid-July. Expected to be completed in early fall, the project will update the resort’s event features.

“We are very excited to introduce these reimagined spaces later this year to inspire and connect,” said Rhett Wilson, director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Ingestion Coconut Point Resort & Spa. “By capturing the nature of our peaceful natural environment, the project will enhance the functional and aesthetic appeal of the space’s nod to its surroundings, providing the ideal backdrop to promote meaningful meetings and elegant event experiences.”

The renovation will include natural tones derived from the coastal environment of the region, including a range of marine blues, deep lush greens and Sandy beige accents. The conference space will be equipped with new carpets, wall coverings and artwork to reflect the bay side location. The lighting will be updated to include a mesh chandelier reminiscent of the conch shell in the Estero banquet hall, as well as Preciosa lighting fixtures with glass products and silver embellishments in other spaces.

In addition, the Calusa Banquet Hall terrace will be updated to further provide opportunities for outdoor activities. The terrace will be equipped with new pavers, lighting upgrades and will include new integrated sods and redesigned landscaping.

The renovation will include a registration desk area that will receive new digital signage displays bordered by a custom wooden factory. The meeting space bathroom will also be refreshed with new stone decorations, a new palette in green, and a blue palette with wood panels and modern fixtures.

The project follows a recent resort update, including a full room renovation in 2022, a newly designed Tarpon Bay restaurant and an enhanced water park experience in 2023, and the debut of the refurbished Tanglewood (Southern Tanglewood) – Southern Kitchen, a restaurant concept that showcases the 2024 Southern-style food display.

Hyatt Regent Coconut Point Resort and Spa includes 82,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting spaces such as the Belvedere Terrace; Banyan Garden, a tropical garden with shady live oaks and round fountains; and Royal Palm and Cypress Gardens, which include lawns reinforced with palms.

The interior space includes a 14,000-square-foot Calusa Ballroom and terrace, as well as a 7,000-square-foot Estero Ballroom and terrace. The resort also offers several small land medium spaces, including blue herons and large green rooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and tropical views, as well as the resort’s fine dining restaurant, Tarpon Bay’s Cove private restaurant.

On site, groups can enjoy the resort’s private island, namely Big Hickory Island, which is part of the Estero Bay Eco-Reserve. Additionally, the resort partnered with global event events to participate in live adventures including deep-sea fishing, kayak excursions through mangroves, catamaran and yacht tours, and historic trolley and bike tours in downtown Naples.
