
Gloucester, VA – BluWater Group, an Orlando, Florida-based private equity firm, today announced the expansion of its portfolio with the acquisition of the Inn at Warner Hall, a charming 11-room hotel listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1642 as part of the original land grant, the inn sits on 38 acres of land on the banks of the River Severn and was previously owned by Troy and Theresa Stavens ) all.

The property’s historic significance stems from its founding in 1642 by Augustine Warner I, George Washington’s great-grandfather. Located along the Severn River in Virginia, this 38-acre estate features centuries-old oak trees and extensive oceanfront. In addition to being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Warner Hall Inn is registered with the Virginia Historic Landmarks Commission and remains of architectural and genealogical significance in American history.

The hotel will close on January 4 for a two-month modest refurbishment, which will be followed by improvements to the hotel’s restaurant.
