Gorp or “Good Raisins and Peanuts” is a classic, crispy trail mix that requires little recipes – these are two ingredients, and they are both in the title! That being said, the taste of the scent after a few raisins and peanuts began to be a little light. This is a good concept, but there are definitely some varieties that can be used.
A quick glance at other Dagopp recipes and you’ll find a lot of attempts to shine this recipe, adding mini marshmallows, peanuts M&M, pretzels, pretzels, Chex cereals, and even mini peanut butter cups. raw material
- Roasted peanuts: Salty or not – this is based on your personal preferences.
- Spanish Roasted Peanuts: Spanish Roasted Peanuts are known for their smaller size, red skin and a irritating taste, which has attracted some visual and texture interest. If you can’t find them, replace them with an equal amount of peanuts, cashews, or other nuts.
- cashew: Their large size, soft texture and unique flavor contrast with the peanuts in this mixture.
- raisin: We are fans of Thompson organic raisins, but any regular raisins you can find will work.
- Golden Raisins: Golden raisins are softer and sweeter than regular raisins and offer a variety of nice colors.
- Dried Cranberries: These add some sourness to the mixture, which we think really blends the flavor profile.
hint: Find these ingredients in the bulk box section of your grocery store! This is usually more economical than buying a parcel.

We love the little chocolate in the trail mix – M&MS is a classic addition. The outer coating prevents the chocolate from melting too quickly. Chocolate chips can also be added, and although they are hot, they will melt quickly.
To add some crunch, you can add mini pretzels, Honey Chex or Honey Nut Cheerios, or even dried coconut or banana slices.
