The Magical Christmas event will take place from December 1, 2024 to January 6, 2025. Please dress appropriately for the outdoors and plan to spend at least a few hours at The Butchart Gardens. The hotel has a restaurant for meals or snacks and a cozy café serving hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies.
There’s plenty to see at Butchart Gardens over Christmas, so if you have young children, bring a stroller.

Get in the spirit (and shop for holiday gifts) at Victoria Bay Center Mall. Here you can stroll among the Christmas trees decorated to raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital. After viewing all the unique Christmas trees, vote for your favorite.

The Festival of Trees will be held from November 15, 2024 to January 5, 2025, and will be open during the Victoria Bay Center Business hours. Admission is free, donations to BC Children’s Hospital are welcome.
Watch the Santa Claus Light Parade
The Santa Claus Parade of Lights, a holiday tradition for many, will be held on November 30, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The parade begins at the corner of Belleville and Government Streets and travels north along Government and east along Humboldt before disbanding at the Victoria Public Market.
