We’ve long established a presence in the South Carolina area with our many full-service hotels, British resorts and hotels group is expanding its management scope The goal is further growth.
The Myrtle Beach, South Carolina-based management company, founded in 1943, recently partnered with Provident Hotels & Resorts to have its portfolio of eight hotels and resorts located throughout Florida managed by a third party. Brittain Resorts & Hotels chief development officer Brittney Jones said the two companies have been in talks for about a year.
She detailed the impetus for the collaboration.
“We developed a growth plan with key executives and found that in order to grow successfully, we needed to do so outside of Myrtle Beach. Our partners and [Provident’s] It took a lot of meetings and conversations with the partners to really determine that Brittain could step in and deploy our tools and resources and our enterprise infrastructure to really have a positive impact on the bottom line, quite quickly. So it’s a win-win for both companies,” she said.
Geographically, Jones noted that the company will stay in “very comfortable” places, namely the southern half of the Atlantic Coast, the Gulf Coast and other leisure destination markets such as Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and California, Tenn. Trinburg. Give an example.
Jones further elaborated on the importance of partnerships as it relates to the company’s business philosophy.
“You’ll hear us talk a lot about our ethos, which is that we deliver on our own aspirations, which are great partnerships and great performances. Our foundation is built on our partners who believe in the UK, So we want to build on that for future growth,” she noted.
The eight Provident properties the company will currently operate include The Provident Oceana Beachfront Suites; The Provident Oceana Beachfront Suites; Sunset Vista Oceanfront Suites; and The Crystal Palms Suites, all located in Treasure Island, Florida. Also includes Saiport Waterfront Suites in Tampa, FL; Ocean Pointe Suites in Key Largo, FL; Provident Grand luxury short-term residences in downtown Doral, FL (Miami-Dade County); Doral, FL The Providencial Blue Hotel (Miami-Dade County); and the Mutiny Hotel in Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida.
Brittain currently operates 30 hotels and resorts in the United States, with more than 4,000 rooms, suites and apartments, and approximately 40 restaurants and bars.
At the same time, Jones praised the company’s expertise, particularly its manageable size, as a key attribute.
“We have an enterprise infrastructure that can compete with some of the larger management companies, but we’re still small and accessible. We think that gives owners a more tailored, personalized experience,” she noted.
Jones went on to point out some other key points of differentiation for Brittain.
“We’re very proud to operate in this mixed-use space, which is a mix of full-service resorts and condo hotels. We feel like we really thrive in this operating model. We do have limited service assets and We’ll continue to do that, but they often have some amenities like a gift shop or a Tiki bar, etc. So we’ve really set up the enterprise infrastructure and equipped it with the tools and resources to operate successfully in this complex environment. ,” she pointed out.
Finally, Jones highlighted the benefit of the company’s “commercial strategy team, which is the collaboration of our marketing team with our distribution strategy, that really creates a top powerhouse.” She noted that the marketing team enables the company to bring in 80% of its stand-alone assets % direct contribution rate.
She further added that the company developed an in-house call center a few years ago and makes over a million calls annually.
“What this has really worked for us is it increases conversion rates, reduces abandonment rates, and then allows the hotel front desk to really focus on the guest in front of them. So we’ve had a lot of success there as well, which is with our third-party management package Part of it,” she noted.
Jones provides an outlook on UK companies following the latest portfolio expansion.
“We’re still looking at other opportunities. We definitely think this deal with Provident and now the presence in Florida will open doors for other opportunities and we’re really excited to explore those opportunities,” she concluded.
