Rolling sand dunes. Camel rides. Trekking through the Atlas Mountains. Bustling medinas. Dishes topped with couscous. Seemingly endless amounts of mint tea. And, of course, super friendly, welcoming people. Morocco It will change you and challenge you.

It can be a sensory overload at times, but it’s worth the time and money to visit Morocco. I fell in love with this place as soon as I arrived.

Traveling in this country of 37 million people isn’t always easy. Getting up close and personal in Morocco can be a challenge for new travelers. The country can be very stressful for your senses, and for those who don’t have much travel experience, This can be overwhelmingwhich is why joining an organized tour is probably one of the best ways to visit it for the first time.

I myself did a group tour of Morocco a few years ago and it was a fantastic experience and a great introduction. If you’re thinking of travelling to Morocco but are a little apprehensive (or just want someone else to organise and guide you!), there are many great tour companies that can take you to all of the best sights in this beautiful country.

Here are some of the best tour companies in Morocco to help you plan your trip:

1. Dreadnought

It has always been my favorite multi-day small group tour operator and I always have an amazing time on every trip I take with them. I really enjoy their guides, their unique itineraries, and their dedication to the local community.

Intrepid is also environmentally friendly, uses local guides and transportation, and doesn’t rush visitors. The tours include a mix of young and old, and are fun and educational. You learn a lot, but you won’t get bored!

2. Morocco Cultural Tour

This travel agency offers tours from various cities in Morocco. So if you’re staying in Marrakech, Fez, Tangier, or Casablanca, you can take a two-day or week-long tour to other parts of Morocco. They also offer tours up to 30 days long, so there’s a good chance there’s an itinerary that suits your needs.

The company also offers private tours. While this may not be as cheap, you can plan your trip exactly as you want. This is great for those who want the flexibility to design their own trip but don’t want the comfort and Safety Go with a company.

3. Nomadic Journey

This company has been taking tourists around Morocco’s sand dunes, narrow streets, medinas, and mosques for nearly two decades. One of the great things about Nomadic Tours is that they never cancel a tour if not enough people sign up. Only two of you? It still works! And if you’re traveling alone, they won’t charge you a single supplement either.

The company offers regular specialty tours, but also has tours targeted at teenage travelers, families, and hikers (there’s an 11-day Berber trek in the Atlas Mountains, for example). The company offers a dozen tours, ranging in duration from five to 15 days, with local guides.

4. Mountain biking in Morocco

The company only offers tours by bike: road bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes. Most of the bikes are of moderate difficulty, so you need to be in good physical condition. However, you don’t need to be an expert cyclist – beginners can also participate!

Ride through the valleys, stopping in remote Berber villages to chat with the locals. Or take a nine-day bike tour from the legendary Atlas Mountains to the coast. It also offers several single-day tours in case you just want to add a day of riding to your existing itinerary. These day trips can be easy or a little difficult, and are also suitable for beginners.

My friend Kiersten from Blonde beauty goes abroad founded this custom travel company to organize all-female tours around the world. Their Morocco tours are so popular that they sell out every time. They include visits to the iconic blue city of Chefchaouen, luxury camping in the desert, cozy stays in local courtyards and hotels, and even hot air balloon rides!
