Best Hotels in Toronto (Updated in 2025)

Toronto It is the Canadian version of New York City. It is a diverse and diverse city with vibrant nightlife, amazing food scenes and lots of fun things to do – no matter which season you visit.

Although it may lack historic charm Montreal Or the beauty of nature VancouverToronto is a huge metropolis that can easily make you feel entertained.

However, this could also be an expensive city.

The budget hotel is inconvenient, and Airbnb prices rise every year. Fortunately, the city has some budget-friendly hostels that can help you save money – you can spend money to enjoy the city and everything it has to offer!

That is to say, there is Many things to consider when choosing a hotel. The top four when selecting the best hotels in Toronto are:

  1. Place – Toronto is big and it may take some time to move around. Choose a place you want to see and the nightlife center. All the hotels listed here are centrally located.
  2. price – In Toronto, you do get what you pay, so if you choose someone who is very cheap you may get a small, narrow hotel that can’t provide great service.
  3. convenient – Every hotel in the city offers free Wi-Fi and most offer free breakfast, but if you want more than that, be sure to do your research to find the one that best suits your needs!
  4. staff – All the hotels listed here have great staff! They are super friendly and knowledgeable. Even if you won’t end up staying in one of the places listed below, be sure to look for comments to make sure you end up at a helpful and friendly place for the staff! They can build or destroy hotels!

1. PlanetTraveler Hostel

Planet Travelers is a great hotel because they do get the needs of our travelers. All rooms are ensuites (including all dormitory rooms), with a fully equipped kitchen, free breakfast until 1pm (which is pretty good actually), each guest has two private lockers and, most importantly, a great rooftop terrace with incredible views from downtown Toronto.

It’s a fun hotel and it’s easy to meet people here, with super friendly staff hosting regular weekly events such as Trivia Nights and Pub Crawls. The beds are comfortable too so you can have a good night’s sleep (a big advantage in my book!), and there are several rooms that offer pod-style beds for extra privacy. Located in Kensington Market, one of Toronto’s coolest neighborhoods, this inn has a large number of affordable restaurants and fun shops right on the doorstep of the hotel.

This is your standard cold backpacking shop. They have a bar (with over 200 beers), a cafe, many common areas (including outdoor terraces) and free breakfast. The staff is very friendly and it is located near the metro so you can easily get to the city and explore.

The dormitory is small, but the mattress is thick and comfortable. Everything is bright and colorful, and the whole place has a little DIY feel. In short, this is your leisurely backpacker hotel and a great choice for solo travelers looking to meet.

This is the most affordable hotel in the city. There is no free breakfast, but the money you save can be compensated. There are lots of public spaces as well as a communal kitchen. It is not as central as other hotels, but is close to Vegandale, a promising vegan area in the city, as well as Echo Beach and Fort York (the historic site of the country). The facilities and design are not the most modern, but it is super cheap and has a warm, welcoming feel.

If you don’t want to be social and just want to save money, this is your hotel.

Clarence Park is a social inn, with a cozy lounge offering free tea and coffee, weekly activities, as well as a rooftop terrace and barbecue (seasonal, Canada after all!).
