Belize has launched a new online immigration and customs declaration system designed to streamline the entry and exit process for all travelers.
This innovative platform enables travelers to conveniently submit their immigration and customs details in advance via a user-friendly web link. The system improves data accuracy and streamlines the overall travel experience for travelers arriving or departing from Belize.
From now on, the system will be available to passengers departing and arriving from Philip Goldson International Airport. A phased rollout over the next three months will ensure a smooth transition to fully digital processes.
Both digital and paper formats will be accepted throughout the pilot phase. However, the public is encouraged to opt for the digital version, which aims to provide a smoother and more efficient experience. Travelers are also invited to share their feedback to help improve the system. In the second phase, the platform will be expanded to cover all entry points.
With the peak tourist season just around the corner, Belize anticipates this shift will significantly reduce and ultimately eliminate reliance on paper forms, providing faster and more streamlined immigration and customs procedures for all visitors.
Belize is now easier than ever for Canadians to reach, with seasonal direct flights from Toronto and Calgary and an increase in flights via the United States.
