April is one of the most beautiful months in Prague – because it is the time when cherry blossoms burst and bloom. This is one of the happiest times to visit the city.
I was happy to spend a full month in Prague City during most of my trips in February and March. It’s not very exciting – but that’s exactly what I need.

Visited to the destination

Highlights
Cherry blossom season. It was so short and so wonderful time in Prague. I like my neighbors who feel particularly in the cherry blossoms!
Easter dinner is held in Prague. Charlie and I had a few friends and we had a great day. Klara made Vitello Tonnato, Charlie made roasted lamb and mashed potatoes, and I made dessert (more below).
This month really makes connections with cats. Charlie is a person from Lewis, who usually just thought I was “lady”, but Charlie took a business trip this month and we had to combine and embrace.
Now, Murray and I have combined to the point where he has to sleep with me at least every night. I think I am now officially Murray’s human.

Celebrating two years of marriage. Charlie and I on an anniversary Our Favorite Prague RestaurantAromi, ate one of our favorite dishes, their truffle pasta.
My first vintage kilo sale. I ended up buying a Valentino jacket and Max Mara Trail Blazers for 55 euros, and a non-Hedel jacket, but a transparent, transparent scarf that only costs 5 euros and is gloriously silky. It’s amazing, just something hanging out on the shelf!
Both of them are a bit big for me, so I might tailor them – or sell them for a reasonable price, as larger clothes are often hard to find in Europe.

challenge
Apart from some boring commercial content that is more annoying than anything else, what happened this month is not bad.
We did take the cats out for the first time, take them to the nearby square of our carriers, and then place them on the belt and a door opens. Until today, they only went outside to the veterinarian.
The cat… has been scared. Hiding in the corner of their carrier, he finally stood up and turned around and looked at everything around him. Lewis hissed, a puppy that was too close. Murray didn’t even want to chase the birds.
So we do want to take them out again…but I hope they aren’t that scared.
I’m still receiving physical therapy for a treated hip injury and it takes a little longer to get my baseline moving levels back to expected. Sometimes it’s almost there; sometimes it feels very frozen. I’m grateful that there is no more pain.

I’ll cook this month
This month, I have one Le Creuset Petal BraiserI saw it, immediately thought it was the most beautiful pot I’ve ever seen. They are expensive, but they can last for decades and I plan to use mine forever.
Mine is currently in a berries color that is not currently available in the United States, but several other beautiful colors!
So far I have cooked several crepes, chicken piccata, pasta sauce, a cacio e pepe Dutch baby, chicken fries. During Easter, I baked a huge skillet chocolate chip cookie for my friends to share.
I’ve used it NYT Cooking Recipes (Talented Link), it performed well (although I did use half milk chocolate and half chocolate, which I thought was great). Nothing completes a special meal like the melted center cookies!
I’ve watched this month
My two big suggestions this month are the advice of “know it as much as possible”.
For TV, I’m obsessed with it Heaven. If you have This is us– What you need to watch is the hole of shape – it has the same performer (Dan Fogelman), the same star (Sterling K. Brown), and even the same composer (Siddhartha Kosla), which adds to the atmosphere.
Sterling K. Brown plays the Chief Secret Service agent for the murdered U.S. President. Then the performance went in an unexpected direction.
For movies, I absolutely love them sinner. Directed by Ryan Coogler and not a starring Michael B. Jordan.
Technically, it’s a horror movie – but if you have a horror cat like me, don’t keep you away from you. There is no jump shot; this is more of an action movie. I even came home alone at night without any problems.
(Because I handled it sinner OK, a few days later, I decided to watch it us first. Now, this is a real horror movie! I can’t fall asleep for a few days! ! ! )
I’ve heard this month
I’m listening to all 500 Rolling stones‘ 500 greatest albums everI like it very much. I love discovering new artists and listening to albums, and I have missed it all my life until now!
In April, I listened to 400-373 albums. Here are the highlights:
Favorite finds: In the rainbow By Radiohead. This album is the first paid album in the world released by a major artist, but I don’t know how beautiful this album is. I’ve never really heard Radiohead; I only heard their songs here and there. But it’s so light, beautiful, full of strings. Oh my god, I love strings. Give me all the strings.
I have to yell, too Brian Wilson proposes “smile” Brian Wilson is such a complex, unexpected album. There is a lot of knowledge behind this album that I won’t read, but thinks that Beach Boys, only darker, more mature, and mixed up in carnival. I had to listen to it twice to really get it, but it was a ride.
Other favorite findings: Diana Diana Ross; What/what? by Todd Rundgren; Young, talented and black By Aretha Franklin; kaleidoscope Kelis; Where are we going when all of us fall asleep? Billie Eilish.
Favorite Revisit Album: The liberation of the breast Mariah Carey. This is Mariah’s big comeback album when it was released in 2005 – to be honest, the album is very close to perfection. Mariah’s unique voice, the work of Jermaine Dupri, the best songs of the era, full of love, heartbreak and empowerment. This sounds like nothing out of date.
Honorary mention Black Messiah Album written by D’Angelo and the Vanguard since its release in 2014. VodouSince then, he almost died in a car accident and decided to learn to play the guitar from scratch. The album is so good. Dark. Fierce. Romantic.
Favorite songs: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, Taylor Swift’s Time of Taming, The New Romantics, Kelis’s “Slums Kids”, Mariah Carey’s “Night”, “Freak Fish/arpeggi”.
Get the playlist: I created a playlist of my favorite songs on Spotify – up to one per album. You can listen here.
Low light this month: Dynamic pictures hurry. I didn’t get this album at all, nor did I have the band’s voice. Does it sound…almost like a joke? It’s better to say that I’m not the target audience.
Random thought: My favorite song of the month is “Maps” from “Yeah Yeah Yeahs” which I hear every now and then but never really hear it. Strangely, I couldn’t stand most of the album until that song.
And some interesting facts: Kelis and the teenager both have the song “Slums Kids.” Taylor Swift and Todd Rundgren both have the song “Slut.” Apparently, the song about Kokomo exists because Aretha Franklin has a song called “The First Snow of Kokomo”.

Appears in May 2025
This month will almost be spent entirely on Prague, too. At the end of this month, Charlie and I are having a party for Charlie’s 50th birthday and our second anniversary celebrations, and we will welcome a lot of friends and family to our city.
At the end of this month, my friend Cailin and I will be heading to Kraków, Poland for a few days. I visited Kraków in 2016 Absolutely fell in love with this city. I hope it’s as good as I remember.
