Florida residents are just beginning to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. Meanwhile, airports that were closed during the storm are reopening.

Airlines are resuming some flights, but anyone traveling to or from the area should check with their airline for the latest situation. In many cases, travel alerts and change fee waivers for travel scheduled before October 12 have been extended.

Here are some of the latest airport developments as of Thursday evening.

After assessing the damage to its facilities, Tampa International Airport (TPA) announced plans to reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

orlando international airport Operations were suspended on Wednesday and some flight operations will resume on Friday.

St. Peters-Clearwater International Airport PIE closed “until further notice” after the last flight departed on Tuesday afternoon, according to a Facebook post on Thursday.

Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is open, but there are still many flight delays.
