The coldness of winter is ours. Here we are also starting to plan our annual Spotlax event as we look forward to warm weather in the coming months. So we can be excited to announce that #Spotlax2022 will be held on the weekend from September 16 to 18, 2022! As in previous years, the event will be a fun weekend with huge planes, views and great people.
This is the fifth time we will be in the “Sign Up” with Brett SnyderA foolish fool“. The event will be held on Saturday, September 17 at the world-renowned park opposite Sepulveda Blvd In-N-Out Burger.
Who participates in Spotlax? Anyone who likes to spend time watching the plane with a bunch of like-minded people. While many of us bring many camera devices, this is by no means necessary. A considerable number of attendees brought only their phones, but they could only watch the pleasant time they came in. Stephanie Gehman Say: “Come on the plane and stay for the #Avgeek community!”
Many people attend this event year after year, although we see many first-time participants every year. John Wetter is one of 2021: “As a newbie from last fall, I really like myself. (I) can’t wait to come back!” Every year, we see several attendees extending the weekend to include days before and/or after the official event date.
Despite the ongoing common 19-19 pandemic, #Spotlax2021 has achieved great success. This year, we follow similar guidelines as last year. in:
• We will follow all applicable CDCs and Local health department Suggestions, requirements and guidelines. Please note that these situations may change and may not be the same as last year.
• Strongly encourage masks and social distancing in groups outdoors. Masks designed by NyCaviation (and many other projects) Available in our store.
• As recently peaks in the Omicron variant show, the conditions for holding events may change rapidly. Last minute restrictions (including cancellation of events altogether) are possible.
•At this time, we do not intend to hold any indoor events. We hope to be able to secure an outdoor location so that we can once again have a very popular dinner and raffle. As with most other details, this will be announced later.
