Delta, Latam adds Argentina to joint venture

Delta Air Lines announced this week that Delta Air Lines and Latan Airlines will expand their joint ventures to include Argentina.

U.S. Department of Transportation Joint venture was approved in September 2022. Initially, the agreement covered routes between the United States and Canada and South American countries between Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.

Now, Argentina customers will be able to earn miles on every carrier’s frequent flight procedures, Delta Skymiles and Latam Pass. In addition, the joint venture provides some mutual benefit to each carrier’s loyalty member. According to Delta, members of Skymiles can already redeem miles on flights operated by LATAM, and in the “next months”, Latam Pass members will get the same ability to redeem on flights operated by Delta.
