Philadelphia, Pa. (March 10, 2025) – The National Association of Spa Franchise (NASF) is pleased to announce a critical update to reflect the association’s ongoing commitment to supporting the massage therapy specialty and its diverse employer community.
NASF has opened membership options for all massage employers. “As the founder of a non-joint spa brand, I’m excited to include it in NASF and have access to electric vehicles. These updates reflect NASF’s ongoing commitment to working together as a community to support the massage therapy specialty.” “Whether you’re a small spa or a large franchise network, we want to ensure that every employer in our industry receives NASF membership and all its benefits. This is a huge win for everyone – SPA clients, massage therapists, and spa owners and operators are the same.”
By expanding its membership options, NASF is also increasing access to its Employee Verification System (EVS), a tool that greatly improves employers’ ability to verify potential employee backgrounds. Electric vehicles are designed to protect the massage industry and play a key role in improving the safety of the industry. Now it allows employers to go from small spas and schools to large franchises – easily confirming their employees’ employment history. EVS is not an alternative to national background checks, but it is a valuable addition to the recruitment process and helps employers ensure the integrity of their workforce. “The employee verification system has proven to be a valuable resource for participating brands to help them make smarter hiring decisions,” said NASF President Cindy Meiskin. “As we expand access to the tool, our goal is to ensure that all employers can benefit from their strengths from their local spas to schools.”
