This is another reminder that no good theme park attractions have passed away. They are just waiting for time.
The latest example? Monsters No Links – Frankenstein’s Experiment Universal epic universe. This Kuka Robot Arm Dark Ride is a reminder of many Harry Potter’s visitors and taboo tours, and the Kuka Robot Arm Dark Ride debuted at Universal Studios Orlando’s adventure theme park.
But, something many fans don’t remember – heck, I need to be reminded by theme park insider readers – generally initially considered the monster concept of this riding system before finally using it for Potter.
Check out this old thread on the theme park insider discussion forum: “Van Helsing” Robocoaster of Island of Adventure?
The concept is based on the appeal of the Van Helsing vampire film series that Universal Pictures was developing at the time. In this case, the trip will chase Count Dracula and meet Dracula’s bride.
It sounds like the epic monster has no links to anyone, which makes the vampire play the role of the opponent.
Of course, the monster Unchained has nothing to do with the Van Helsing IP. Universal Creative deploys the original features of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein as Dracula’s suitor. But it’s still a dark ride with a vampire-powered Kuka robot arm. Just like Universal Creative on a drawing board over twenty years ago.
