underground
underground Adventure Land, Iowa It is said to be the only indoor wooden roller coaster in the world, although it uses roller coaster tracks and lifts the hills to drive the train through dark riding instead of traditional roller coaster elements.
The Dark Cycling takes visitors to an old Iowa coal mine that has been used as a hiding place by Outlaws. The mine has been abandoned for years, with all its entrances blocked until recently adventurers opened it to the attraction. Since then, despite the strange things, some have blamed the ghost of a bad bob of an old King robber.
Using wood to make for a dark riding system is unusual, but it runs well, with the shuffling and squeaking of roller coasters as they circumn the track, making them feel a lot like mine bikes.
The train took several main static scenes at a certain point with the waterfall. However, most of the journey is spent in the relative darkness of the “mine”. It has a lot of classic vintage riding vibes.
If you are expecting a mature indoor roller coaster, the underground will be a big disappointment. But if you think of it as a classic dark journey, it’s even more fun.
