Promenade du Paillon, Nice – Cooling with children on the French Riviera
Take your family to Promenade du Paillon between the old town of Nice and the historic place Massena on a warm and sunny day in Nice. Everyone in this park has over 35 attractions including rides, games and performances. Whether you’re looking for highly adrenaline rides or more kid-friendly attractions, this place can attract you.
There are also two 18-hole mini golf courses, trampolines, fun houses, bumper boats and more! Cannes Bay Iledes Lérins
Located in the Bay of Cannes, Yles des Lérins consists of four Mediterranean islands, the Saint-Honor and Saint-Margaret are the two largest. Both islands are accessible by ferry and take about 15 minutes to reach. Saint Marguerite is the largest island of these, rich in history and natural beauty. Enjoy the views of the historic Fort Royal and enjoy the Marine Museum of a wealth of underwater archaeology and shipwreck artifacts.

Monaco Maritime Museum
Dana recommends the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco built on a rocky cliff of Monaco as a must-see for families visiting the French Riviera with their children. The Marine Museum is a museum and aquarium, with thousands of specimens and various interesting exhibitions on display.

The Cimiez community in Nice is a great place for your family to spend a day relaxing and exploring. Cimiez is an inland community in Nice, north of Nice’s old town. This is the ideal way for you and your kids to escape the French Riviera crowd and spend a relaxing afternoon discovering the region’s long history. Dana tells us that Cimiez’s gardens have set the benefits of family picnics in the olive groves. Explore the ruins of the great Roman amphitheater and visit the beautiful monastery gardens where you can enjoy the beautiful views.
Visit the nearby Museum of Archaeology of Nisvesitz to signal the children about the ancient Roman Empire and large archaeological sites, which show where the ancient swimming pools, cemeteries, showers and baptism areas once stood. All of this is quietly away from the bustling tourist areas, and it is all free!
Villefranche-Sur-Mer – Kid-friendly beach and more!
You won’t miss the beach when visiting the Riviera, France. However, you may not find all the beaches in the area kid-friendly. Dana said the beach in Villefranche is perfect for kids, with lots of sand and calm water. As we all know, Plage de la Mariniere is one of the best beaches in the French Riviera, with clear water and beautiful surroundings beneath the hills of Villefranche. In summer, this beach is frequented by local families and tourists.
For a more secluded and tranquil experience, you can trek to draw the de la darse at the western end of the bay. You will find that since there is no parking space and the beach is made of gravel rather than sand, you will find this beach much more crowded. For these reasons, it’s best to take a walk or bike to this beach and make sure to bring some beach shoes for the best experience!
Antibes – Marineland
Located between Cannes and Nice, this coastal town is a great place to visit with your family when taking your kids to the French Riviera. There is no shortage of beaches, family-friendly restaurants and charming streets in this town. For a relaxing beach with calm waters, visit the de la Gravette. Once you have finished swimming and playing on the beach, take a bite and a bite on a food truck set up nearby.
