Carnival Celebration Key Building Authorized Grand Bahamas Labor

As work on celebrating the keys continues, Carnival is in a new private destination on the Grand Bahamas, Carnival Company revealed that more than 85% of the companies contracted on construction sites are Bahamians, reflecting the company’s local qualities. All of us People have gained valuable experience in a groundbreaking project and work together to build something that has a great impact on the future of the Grand Bahamas.”

The $600 million Celebration key Cruise Port recently proposed an additional $100 million terminal, which is expected to have a significant economic impact on the Grand Bahamas community. In addition to construction, several industries provide Bahamians with direct and indirect employment opportunities, including retail, food and beverage, coastal excursions, transportation and subcontracting services.

At least 75% of the celebration keys will be owned and operated by Bahamians as part of the company’s commitment to sustainable partnerships. Up to 70 restaurants and retail stores are expected to be developed, which is an important opportunity for local businesses. The project will create more than 700 permanent jobs in the Grand Bahama, including about 300 Bahamians directly employed by the Carnival Company to assist in welcoming 2.2 million tourists to the Grand Bahamas starting every year from 2025.

Every Bahamian company working on the website is assigned projects that match their specific strengths. Island Field Development is the latest local contractor to join the team, with extensive experience providing food and beverage facilities for websites throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Carnival companies also create a digital portal for skilled workers and contractors who do not own the business but have the skills and experience to make the project.
