It’s a beacon of modern design in the heart of Innsbruck, with minimalist interiors surrounded by jagged, snow-capped peaks and a rooftop bar where you can enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the fairy-tale scenery. story. First impressions are everything, and Adler knew this. From the moment you step into the stylish first floor reception, you will be greeted by staff in an efficient yet welcoming manner. We arrived early for our flight but were able to store our luggage, explore the city, and check into our room on our return later.

Room

The hotel’s 79 guest rooms are located on the highest floors of the building. We have rooms 712 and 716 (panoramic classic room type) on the seventh floor. If a hotel room was designed to remind you that you’re in the Alps, this is it. The rooms at ADLERS are an ode to their surroundings, with floor-to-ceiling windows that paint the view of Innsbruck like a living postcard.

Waking up to the view of the Nordkette Mountains is a soothing experience that allows you to truly appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the city. The interior design of the 25-square-meter room is fresh and modern, with clean lines, earthy tones, and enough soft furnishings to keep things cozy.

Where’s the bed? It’s very comfortable, and you don’t have to fight with your partner for the duvet – in Austria it’s very common for everyone to have a separate duvet.

The view from the room is spectacular. Below, Innsbruck’s colorful buildings line the streets, their vibrant facades standing out against a backdrop of snowy mountains.

Roads, trams and railways traverse the entire city, creating a stark contrast between city life and the tranquility of the Alpine peaks. This landscape perfectly embodies Innsbruck’s unique blend of nature and modernity – a constant reminder of the majestic landscape surrounding the city.

The ADLERS hotel’s en suite bathrooms are modern and elegant, offering everything you need. Full of light, panoramic mirror, washbasin, toilet and spacious walk-in shower. with in U.K.Due to stricter wiring regulations, it is common in many European countries, including Austria, to have sockets in the bathroom, and this is no exception.

ADLERS brand body lotion and hand soap are located on either side of the vanity. Hairdryers and slippers are neatly arranged on the shelves below, and robes are available upon request if you want to head to the spa.

The shower was particularly refreshing – one of the most powerful showers I’ve encountered in many hotel stays around the world. Shampoo and body wash from Natural Remedies, a premium body care line developed by neighboring ADA Cosmetics Germanycan be easily installed on the shower wall.

The star feature of ADLERS is undoubtedly the rooftop bar and restaurant on the 12th floor. It offers panoramic views far beyond the city and is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike.

The menu at the weitsicht restaurant showcases a modern and versatile dining experience, combining regional Tyrolean flavors with international flavours. All steaks are dry-aged and come from the trusted Tyrolean butcher Gunter, located at Hemming’s à la carte restaurant 50 kilometers west of Innsbruck.

We particularly enjoyed the black garlic cream shrimp soup. Cured wild salmon with gin, cucumber, sesame seeds and orange is also a good choice.

For main courses, we recommend duck with red cabbage and rosemary potatoes, or Hokkaido pumpkin with salmon.

The selection of seasonal desserts is constantly changing. If anything, you can’t go too wrong with the “mandel and schoko” (almond and chocolate) served with honey ice cream.

The hotel also has its own spa with relaxation areas and the most stunning views. You can come here to relax, sit down and read a book, or just marvel at the scenery before you.

There are also saunas and steam rooms, but as per Austrian custom, guests must remain nude. If you find this aspect of the spa too un-British, you can certainly skip it.

Place

Few hotels have a better location than ADLERS. The hotel is located in the center of Innsbruck, just a short walk from the main train station, ideal for exploring the city and the mountains. You’re just a short walk away from the golden rooftop charm of the Old Town, yet close to the ski lifts for a relaxing morning on the slopes. Essentially, all the beauty of Innsbruck is at your doorstep.

Other nice details

Each room has tea/coffee making facilities and a small refrigerator with a new free bottle of water daily.

Classic rooms with panoramic views start from 111 euros per night, which is extremely reasonable.

The Panoramic Presidential Suite is at the other end of the room category and starts from €749 per night.

the best bit

To me, it must have been a spectacular view. What really elevates ADLERS is its sense of place. As the tallest hotel in Innsbruck, it is closely connected to the mountains and integrated into the fabric of Innsbruck itself. It’s a rare and wonderful thing for a hotel to make you feel so connected to your surroundings.
