Travelex launches FX home delivery pilot in…

The company is Trial product at Randstad after successful UK service

Market-leading FX brand Travelex has launched a pilot home delivery service in the Netherlands, exclusively for customers in the Randstad area.

Qualified customers who order more than €600 in cash can receive free home delivery.

The home delivery option adds to the company’s pre-travel offering in the Netherlands, which also includes a click-and-collect service (enabling customers to pick up online orders from stores).

The launch of the home delivery pilot comes as Travelex aims to fully cater to the pre-travel and on-travel markets, recognizing that customers are increasingly looking to secure their foreign currency before arriving at the airport .

Home delivery services have grown to become one of the most popular ways of ordering in the UK. Depending on the success of the Randstad pilot project, which will run for three months, Travelex may consider further expanding the service to the Netherlands and other European countries.

To qualify for home delivery, customers need to complete identity verification and comply with anti-money laundering checks. Security measures will also be implemented for couriers delivering cash to customers.

Leonard Stolk, Commercial Director Europe at Travelex, said: “Our home delivery service has proven extremely popular with UK customers and we see huge potential to expand this service further into Europe.

“Today’s customers want convenience, and for many that means getting their travel costs up front before they travel to save time at the airport or train station.”

He added: “We want to ensure that we meet the needs of these customers with our range of options.”

Travelex currently operates 50 retail stores in the Netherlands under the GWK Travelex brand.

Its stores are located at Schiphol Airport, Eindhoven Airport, Rotterdam The Hague Airport, as well as train station and city center locations.
