Today, I’m sharing a dish that’s both comforting and full of flavor: Soy Sauce Chicken. Soy Sauce Chicken is a crowd-pleasing dish that perfectly combines the savory and sweet elements of traditional Japanese cuisine. The dish is made with tender, bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs that are simmered in shoyu (Japanese soy sauce), brown sugar and honey along with aromatic ingredients like ginger, garlic and onions. The cooking process allows the chicken to absorb all the flavors, resulting in juicy, flavorful meat. Once cooked, the chicken is grilled to a caramelized, crispy exterior, adding a satisfying crunch to every bite. Whether served with rice or fresh vegetables, soy sauce chicken is a comforting meal that reminds you of the warmth of home cooking.
