A train leaving Spatiale Expérience station
Nigroland Spatiale Expérience is the theme park’s indoor roller coaster that takes riders on a journey into space in an experience reminiscent of Disney’s Space Mountain.
Nigloland’s roller coaster is from Mack Rides and uses the same train and track design as the company’s original roller coaster EUTELSAT roller coaster
Europa-Park in Germany.
Although smaller in scale than its German brother, Spatiale Expérience, they share some common elements, such as the spiral lift hill, and a general space theme – the train flies through planets and asteroids, while the ride building is almost completely dark.
The ride’s station looks very retro-futuristic, with metal wall panels and various computers and flashing lights to help enhance the atmosphere of an astronaut space mission.
Similar to Eutelsat, while the overall run was smooth, the run itself was pretty rough, with quite a few bumps and jolts along the way.
However, Spatiale Expérience is a classic coaster that suffers from some rough edges but delivers an interesting layout in the dark, some enjoyably frantic moments, and a very atmospheric soundtrack.
