The UIAA Ice Climbing Management Group and the UIAA Youth Committee are jointly organizing a beginners ice and dry ice climbing camp to be held from October 11 to 13, 2024 in Brno, Czech Republic.
This camp is perfect for climbers from UIAA member federations who are interested in learning more about dry and ice climbing with other young climbers from all over the world.
The camp will include basic instruction in footwork and ice axe use, and participants will be able to climb a variety of beginner dry climbing routes and quickly progress to competition-level moves and routes.
This camp will be held in conjunction with the UIAA Ice Climbing World Tour Youth Camp, so participants will have the opportunity to learn dry climbing with some of the best young ice climbers in the world. Please note that this camp is a dry climbing/ice climbing camp and requires basic knowledge of indoor or outdoor rock climbing (UIAA cannot teach basic knowledge of rock climbing).
The three-day training will be guided by the Czech Mountaineering Association and will take place in Brno’s world-famous building, which has hosted the UIAA Ice Climbing Intercontinental Cup for the past five seasons.
Please see the information and registration form link below. The UIAA looks forward to seeing you in Brno, and have your ice axes ready.
