Six Flags delays opening of two new attractions until 2025

Six Flags has delayed the opening of two planned new attractions until 2025.

The company announced today via social media that it has postponed the release of The Flash: Vertical Speed at Six Flags Great Adventure and Georgia Surfers at Six Flags Georgia.

When announcing the postponement, the major parks gave the reason that “in order to provide fun and safe attractions, we will not rush construction.”

Of course, the construction process is not being rushed, as Vekoma Super Boomerang in New Jersey Park and Intamin Ultra Surf in Georgia have both been announced to open this year, as both have been delayed. Last month, many of the former Cedar Fair management took over operations of the combined company.

Due to these delays, we’re still waiting on release news for Expanded DC Universe at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Joker: Carnival of Chaos at Six Flags St. Louis, both of which were also promised for 2024 but have yet to premiere.
