New York City It is the most iconic and popular city in the United States. With its unique skyline, Diversified communitya world-class museum, incredible Broadway works and a culture of melting pots, New York attracts millions of visitors each year. (This is also where I call home.)
New York City is Huge. I mean ten million people live here. Where are you staying when you are here? There are many hotels to choose from.
To help you plan your visit and narrow down your options, here is my list of the best hotels in New York:
1. East Village Hotel
Located in my absolute favorite East Village, New York City, this boutique operates more like Airbnb than a traditional hotel. You will send a code to check in before you arrive and there are no staff or restaurants on site (although the outpost of the popular Bean of Nick Café is located downstairs). The studio apartment is designed to reflect the bohemian spirit of the community, modern art deco, beautiful exposed brick walls and lots of natural light. The kitchenette includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and silverware.
Rooms include comfortable pillow beds, well-pressed showers, flat-screen TVs and free bathroom products. Everything is very compact, but in an area where there are almost no hotels, it is one of the most valuable places. If you want to be in a central location, stay here with restaurants and bars within reach.
2. Malton
Originally built in 1900, this historic boutique hotel in Greenwich Village has been home to many of the region’s bohemian styles, including one of my favorite writers, Jack Kairua Jack Kerouac (he even wrote a few Novelas here). I like the extensive renovation of the hotel still maintains the classic beauty. The beautiful interior has a solemn feel with gorgeous shapes, herringbone parquet floors and antique furniture such as brass lamps, gorgeous carpets and custom furniture. The staff were also very friendly.
The room is small but well designed to take advantage of the space. They come with a flat-screen TV, a comfortable bed with plush bedding, a wardrobe, a minibar and a marble bathroom. Marlton is also an excellent bar with incredible cocktails and free breakfast. I think this is the best value for your money in the area.
3. Franklin
This 3-star hotel is located in the 19th-century brownstone on the Upper East Side, and this is the community I live in (please say hello if you see me!). The rooms are simple, but the hotel has some great benefits, such as the free 24-hour espresso bar and standard checkout time (12pm). The restaurant is currently being renovated so there is no breakfast on site, but there are many places just a few steps away.
The room is decorated in minimal (but comfortable) ways, with white chandeliers and cute original art. All rooms have large TVs and comfortable pillow mattresses, while their larger rooms come with a desk and simple chairs. Everything has been newly renovated and the glass-enclosed shower is stressful. The location is also great as it is on a quiet, leafy street near Central Park and Museums.
4. Indigo Hotel
This 4-star hotel is dedicated to supporting local street art and artists and you will see a lot of work throughout the building. The rooftop bar Mr. Purple is a local cocktail favorite and on weekends the area turns into an upscale club. (So, this is a hotel over 21 years old). There is also a heated swimming pool on the rooftop.
The room has hardwood floors, bold artwork and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of the city. All rooms also include Keurig machines, desks and minibars (you get a $20 credit line). The bathroom is large, tiled and has a rain shower. Although there is no breakfast on site, you are only a few steps away from the large number of restaurants. Overall, if you want to experience the legendary nightlife of New York City, I think this hotel is the best place to stay.
5. standard
The standard is one of the best hotels in the city (I think this east side location is even better than the hotel in the meat packing area). The bar serves the best drinks in town and is usually always packed with NY’s stylish suits. There is a café where you can also have breakfast in the morning.
The recently renovated room is gorgeous, decorated with minimal design, bright colors and lots of natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. They are also huge, especially by New York City standards. All rooms at this 4-star hotel feature plush beds, fluffy pillows, huge flat-screen TV, Bluetooth speakers, comfortable bathrobes, workbench and storage minibar. The bathroom is spacious, with tiled shower and organic designer toiletries. You can also get free access to the nearby austerity gym (if you want to work from the numerous nearby restaurants).
6. Library Hotel
Everything about this four-star hotel is about books. Each of the ten floors has a different theme, and all books in all 60 rooms fit the theme (the hotel has over 6,000 books in the collection!). There is also a reading room lounge with workbench, a cozy nook for reading or writing, as well as 24/7 coffee, tea, snacks and drinks.
The rooms are in good size (for New York City) and feature stylish, modern design rich wood furniture with plush bedding, minibar, flat-screen TV, desk and luxury bathroom products. There is also a free breakfast, a rooftop terrace with bar, a drink with literature themed on the subject, and a very helpful staff. It’s a quiet breathing place. Stay here to enjoy a unique experience near major tourist sites such as Times Square, Empire State Building and Grand Central Station.
7. sherry
Located on Fifth Avenue opposite Central Park, this gorgeous 5-star hotel is located in the stunning Beaux-Arts building. The hall has vaults, painted ceilings, custom chandeliers, and even a white operator just to emphasize the gentrification of the property. The hotel’s Italian restaurant serves breakfast in the morning and there is also a fitness centre.
The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated with mahogany tables, tasteful artwork on the walls and a large marble bathroom. All rooms include a flat-screen TV, luxury bath products, free soda, mineral water and chocolate, as well as daily newspapers. If you want to be in the elegant and timeless hotel experience of New York City, this is the place to stay.
New York City It is a huge city that provides something for everyone. There are many hotels to choose from, and the hotel I recommend above is very good and can help you save research time. Choose one from the list above and the trip is great!
