I’m happy to tell you one of the most fascinating places in Europe. Croatia has won my victory since my first trip in 2023 and it’s easy to see why it’s become so buzzing. This gorgeous “Adriatic Pearl” offers you a new option instead of the crowded scenes of Italy and France. My blue waters, historic cities and vineyards cover the hills, leaving Tuscany nothing. If you like Game of Thrones – Yes, they’re shooting here too!
Timeline | When to plan and visit
The Mediterranean attraction of Croatia is obvious throughout the year, but here is my internal view:
🌞 High season: From June to September, you will find sunny days that beach fans will love.
🌸 The happiness of spring: April to June provides good conditions to explore the waterfalls and hike with smaller crowds.
🍷 Autumn Festival: I love Croatia in autumn (September to November), especially when you like food and wine! October brings awesome truffle days in Istria – depict yourself in a truffle hunt and enjoy these snacks in their hometown. And the autumn colors of Plitvice Lakes National Park? They are amazing for your hike!
Planning ahead is essential… If you want to visit Croatia’s most popular islands or enjoy a lively summer festival, I recommend booking 6-9 months before your trip for the best accommodation. If you are considering renting a private yacht or trying a unique activity like maritime pickles, you need to start planning earlier! Fortunately, I have rented a yacht (with a floating kimchi stadium) at the end of September 2026. here For more information and scroll to the bottom of the page, please email me if you want to be the first to receive a registration link.
Sample itinerary
It is best to watch Croatia from the sea, sail on yachts, and have the flexibility to explore many secluded bays and small islands that are not accessible on larger boats or cars.
What to stop considering is:

Start with splitting – Anchored by the magnificent parish palace of one of the world’s most impressive Roman architectural monuments, Split offers travelers an immersive journey of history, ancient stone walls, marble streets, marble streets and archaeological attractions that create the museum’s experience.

bol – Located on Brač Island, Bol is home to the world-famous beach of Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn), a fascinating, deformed golden pebble beach that creates a photographer’s paradise as the wind and rain and tides change. Not only does this amazing location offer breathtaking natural beauty, it also offers world-class windsurfing conditions and clear turquoise water that will make your yacht adventure a memorable Mediterranean dream.

hvar – Commonly known as the “French Riviera of Croatia”, Hvar is a charming island that combines historical charm with contemporary luxury. It has lavender fields and a stunning medieval downtown that has attracted jets and celebrities over the years.

Scedro – This tiny, barely touched island is a hidden tranquil gem that provides a quiet Croatian destination with its pristine landscape and limited human development. Scedro offers an intimate sailing experience where you can anchor in secluded bays, enjoy pristine waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and feel like you’ve discovered your own private Mediterranean paradise.

Korčula – Commonly known as “Little Dubrovnik”, Korčula is an amazing medieval town that rises sharply from the sea. Its compact old town resembles Venetian architecture and historic miniature jewelry. Strolling along its narrow marble paved streets, discover what Marco Polo calls birthplace, indulge in the special local wines and fresh seafood, and experience a destination that seamlessly combines cultural richness with luxury yacht trips.

End in Dubrovnik – Dramatically perched on the Adriatic coastline, Dubrovnik is a breathtaking walled city that looks like it has been lifted straight from a medieval fairy tale, with its perfectly preserved limestone streets, stunning baroque buildings, and panoramic views that have made it a global icon (and famously, the filming location for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones. These old defenses allow you to enjoy stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and peek at the old town with red tiled roofs. Here is the tip for locals: avoid crowds early in the morning or later in the day and capture beautiful golden lights.
After crossing the amazing coastline of Croatia, I can honestly say that this trip will be magical – this adventure is with you for a long time after unpacking your luggage.
